Product overview
Details that help confirm the fit.
The Danfoss EBI4 C1P is a compact high-frequency electronic ignition transformer designed for gas burners and other combustion systems requiring continuous ignition.
The unit provides single-pole ignition between one ignition electrode and the grounded burner frame. It operates from a 230 V AC, 50/60 Hz electrical supply and accepts an operating-voltage range of 187 to 255 V AC.
The EBI4 C1P generates a secondary peak voltage of 12 kV with a short-circuit current of 30 mA RMS. High-frequency electronic operation provides efficient ignition performance while allowing the unit to remain compact and lightweight.
The transformer supports a 100% duty cycle at an ambient temperature of 35°C, making it suitable for continuous-ignition applications. At an ambient temperature of 60°C, the permitted duty cycle is reduced to 70%.
The primary connection uses a three-core cable with a standard AMP connector. Protective earthing is provided through the primary cable. The secondary high-voltage connection uses one 4 mm plug for connection to the ignition electrode.
The unit has an IP40 enclosure rating and is designed to operate at ambient temperatures from -10 to +60°C. The recommended ignition-electrode gap is between 2.5 and 5 mm, subject to the burner manufacturer’s design and commissioning instructions.
Typical applications include forced-draught gas burners, industrial and commercial boilers, ovens, furnaces, hot-air generators, radiant-tube burners and process-heating systems requiring continuous ignition.
Before replacement, the full Danfoss product code, supply voltage, ignition arrangement, primary connector, secondary connection position and burner compatibility must be checked. Installation, earthing, electrode adjustment and commissioning must be performed by qualified burner-service personnel.
Model, voltage, rotation, pressure range and mounting can vary. Final compatibility is confirmed against the nameplate or existing component.
