The SUNTEC D 57 C is a positive-displacement gear pump designed for medium and heavy-oil burner applications. It is suitable for domestic heating oil, heavy oil, HVO and compatible B100 biofuel installations, subject to the exact pump version and system requirements.
The pump can handle fuel with viscosity from 2 to 75 cSt and temperatures from 0 to 90°C. Its built-in pressure regulator provides a standard nozzle-pressure range of 10 to 28 bar, with a typical factory setting of 14 bar.
The D 57 C designation indicates gear size 57, anticlockwise shaft rotation and a left-hand nozzle outlet when viewed from the shaft end. The rotation direction and nozzle position must be matched with the burner motor, coupling and fuel-line arrangement before installation.
The internal gear set draws fuel from the tank through the built-in strainer and transfers it to the pressure-regulating valve. Fuel required for combustion is supplied to the nozzle line, while excess fuel returns to the tank in a two-pipe system or circulates internally in a correctly configured one-pipe system.
The SUNTEC D pump does not incorporate a fuel cut-off function. A suitable external in-line solenoid valve must therefore be fitted to provide positive fuel shut-off when the burner stops.
In two-pipe operation, pump bleeding is automatic. For one-pipe operation, the bypass plug must be removed from the return port and the return connection must be sealed with the correct steel plug and washer. Initial bleeding can be accelerated through a pressure-gauge port in accordance with SUNTEC instructions.
Typical applications include heavy-oil burners, furnace-oil burners, industrial boilers, thermic-fluid heaters, furnaces, industrial ovens, hot-air generators and process-heating equipment.
The complete pump reference must be checked before ordering because hub diameter, model revision, pressure configuration and one-pipe or two-pipe factory setup can vary. Installation, filtration, pressure adjustment, fuel preheating and commissioning must be performed by qualified personnel.
