Product overview

Details that help confirm the fit.

The Bentone Burner Coupling is a flexible drive component designed to connect the burner motor shaft to the oil-pump shaft in compatible Bentone oil burners.

During burner operation, the coupling transfers rotational movement from the electric motor to the fuel pump. This allows the pump to draw fuel from the supply system, build pressure and deliver oil to the burner nozzle.

The coupling features a black tubular centre section with moulded white end sockets. Its flexible construction helps absorb vibration and compensate for minor alignment differences between the motor and pump shafts.

Using a flexible coupling helps reduce the transfer of mechanical shock between the motor and pump. It also supports quieter operation and can help protect the connected shafts and bearings from excessive stress.

The coupling is installed directly between the burner motor and oil pump inside the burner housing. Correct coupling length, socket profile and shaft engagement are essential for reliable pump operation.

A worn or damaged coupling may cause the burner motor to run without driving the fuel pump. Common symptoms include failure to build oil pressure, unsuccessful ignition, burner lockout, unusual mechanical noise or intermittent pump operation.

Typical applications include Bentone pressure-jet oil burners operating with LDO, diesel, kerosene and compatible light fuel oils. The coupling is suitable for burner systems used with heating boilers, steam boilers, hot-water boilers, furnaces, industrial ovens and hot-air generators.

The replacement coupling must match the original burner model, motor shaft, pump shaft and coupling length. Correct motor-to-pump alignment should be checked before the burner is returned to service.

Model, voltage, rotation, pressure range and mounting can vary. Final compatibility is confirmed against the nameplate or existing component.
