Product overview

Details that help confirm the fit.

The Oil Burner Coupling is a compact flexible drive component designed to connect the burner motor shaft with the fuel-pump shaft.

During burner operation, the coupling transfers rotational movement from the electric motor to the oil pump. The rotating pump draws fuel from the supply line, increases the fuel pressure and delivers fuel to the burner nozzle.

The coupling is manufactured from moulded engineering polymer and features a short cylindrical body with recessed drive sockets at both ends. These sockets engage with the corresponding motor and pump shaft profiles.

The flexible polymer construction helps absorb vibration and mechanical shock generated during burner operation. It also accommodates minor alignment differences between the motor and fuel-pump shafts, helping reduce stress on the shafts and bearings.

Correct engagement at both ends is essential for reliable pump operation. A worn, cracked or rounded coupling can allow the burner motor to rotate without driving the fuel pump.

Common symptoms of a damaged coupling include absence of fuel pressure, failure to establish a flame, repeated burner lockout, intermittent pump operation and unusual mechanical noise from the burner housing.

The coupling is suitable for compatible pressure-jet oil burners operating with LDO, diesel, kerosene and light fuel oil. Typical applications include heating boilers, steam boilers, hot-water boilers, oil-fired furnaces, industrial ovens and hot-air generators.

The replacement coupling must match the original component’s length, outside diameter and internal drive profiles. The motor and pump shafts should be checked for alignment and free rotation during installation.

Model, voltage, rotation, pressure range and mounting can vary. Final compatibility is confirmed against the nameplate or existing component.
