The Riello 3002279 Solenoid Coil is a genuine replacement component designed for the fuel-pump valve used in compatible Riello 40 Series oil burners.
When the burner controller energises the coil, the resulting magnetic field operates the pump’s internal solenoid valve and releases pressurised fuel to the burner nozzle. When electrical power is removed, the valve closes and stops fuel delivery.
The coil is supplied with prewired electrical leads for connection to the burner wiring system. Its compact circular body slides over the compatible pump-valve armature and is secured in the designated mounting position.
The encapsulated black housing protects the internal winding, while the white centre sleeve provides the opening for the pump-valve armature. Preinstalled brown, blue and black cable leads simplify connection during servicing and replacement.
A defective solenoid coil can prevent oil from reaching the nozzle even when the burner motor and fuel pump are operating. Common symptoms include failure to establish a flame, absence of nozzle pressure after the valve stage and repeated burner safety lockout.
The Riello 3002279 coil is suitable for compatible F3, F5, F10, F15, F20, BF3 and BF5 burners, along with selected Riello 40 and Mectron burner configurations.
Before replacement, the burner must be disconnected from the electrical and fuel supplies. The coil should be correctly positioned over the pump armature, and the cable leads must be connected according to the burner wiring diagram. Complete burner operation should be tested after installation.
