The Riello Ignition Cable is a flexible high-voltage lead designed to connect a compatible burner ignition transformer to the ignition electrode.
During the burner start-up sequence, the ignition transformer generates high voltage and transfers it through the cable to the electrode. The electrode then produces the spark required to ignite the fuel-and-air mixture inside the combustion head.
The cable features a flexible white insulated outer covering that electrically isolates the high-voltage conductor from the burner housing and nearby components. The curved construction allows convenient routing inside compact burner assemblies.
A red insulated connector is fitted at one end for secure connection to the compatible ignition electrode or transformer terminal. The opposite end has a compact metal terminal for connection to the corresponding burner component.
Proper cable condition is essential for dependable burner ignition. Cracked insulation, loose terminals, carbon tracking or heat damage can cause voltage leakage, weak sparking, delayed ignition and burner lockout.
The ignition cable should be routed away from hot surfaces, sharp metal edges, moving components, fuel pipes and low-voltage control wiring. Excessive bending, stretching or crushing should be avoided.
The replacement cable must match the original connector arrangement and burner ignition system. Installation and ignition testing should be performed by qualified burner-service personnel.
